I’m so excited to be partnering with Chelsea Mychal Herman to offer professional hair & makeup to all of my senior girls!

Here’s a bit about Chelsea:

‍

I have been a cosmetologist for 10 years. I studied Cosmetology at L’esprit Academy and I have a Cosmetology Management Degree from Schoolcraft College. Born and raised in the area, I grew up in Plymouth, my business is in Canton, and I reside in Livonia.

‍

I am a co-owner of a private salon & permanent makeup studio in Canton, MI called, “The Shop.”

‍

I absolutely love doing hair and makeup for high school seniors! The experience is fun and exciting for the girls! You can see the added confidence in the final images, it definitely adds a bit of glamor!

Here’s what to expect, and how to best prepare:

‍

Hair styling and makeup takes about 1 1/2 hours.

‍

Girls should come with clean-dry hair and no makeup on, just moisturizer.

‍

We do not do lips because of Covid protocols so girls should bring their own lipstick/gloss.

‍

Hair and makeup services should be done right before their photoshoot to ensure best results.

‍

The photographer's point of view:

Professional hair and makeup is a game changer for portrait photography! You will LOVE your final images showcasing your natural beauty, just a bit enhanced!

I love Chelsea’s work because she keeps it simple, clean and gorgeous!

My personal favorite hairstyle to photograph is big wavy curls (as pictured). They look so pretty and add so many opportunities for posing.

RKP Senior’s Hair & Makeup Package 

Hair includes a choice of:

- smoothed

- waved or curled

Makeup includes:

Full face of makeup which includes natural, lightweight airbrush foundation (water based) & natural lash extensions (one time use not permanent)

You should check her schedule while booking your senior session, to make sure both are available on the same day. Schedule EARLY! You should plan on going right from your appointment to your shoot with me! For example, if our shoot is from 5-8, plan on hair & makeup at 2. That leaves time for travel and changing your clothes without feeling rushed.
